Award-Winning Bass-Baritone Constandinos Tsourakis, a native of Astoria, NY, is a frequent performer of Opera, Oratorio, Music Theatre, Jazz and Greek Folk Song Repertoire. Previous credits include Don Giovanni (Leporello) at the Banff Festival, Le Nozze Di Figaro (Bartolo) at Opera On The Avalon, Knickerbocker Holiday (Anthony von Corlear), L’enfant et les sortileges (L’horlogecomtoise, le chat), Falstaff (Pistola), Gianni Schicchi (Betto,Simone), Lee Hoiby’s The Tempest (Stephano), Cosi Fan Tutte (Don Alfonso), Animal Opera (Boris), Amahl And The Night Visitors (Balthazaar), and Oklahoma! (Jud), in addition to scenes from Lucia di Lammermoor (Raimondo), Carmen (Don Caïro), Mosé in Egitto (Mose), Candide (Pangloss), Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Osmin), Die Zauberflöte (Sarastro), Don Pasquale (Don Pasquale) and bass soloist in Haydn’s Nelsonmesse and Handel’s Messiah. In addition to recitals, Mr. Tsourakis has performed as soloist with the Astoria Symphony, Metropolitan Greek Chorale, Hellenic Conservatory of Music Symphony and with the Collegiate Chorale.
