Soprano Mary Alice Korth made her role debut as Micaëla (Carmen) with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble in August 2012.  This was preceded in October 2011 by a debut as Contessa Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro) with New York Lyric Opera Theatre.  She made her New York debut as Mimì in Act 1 of La Bohème with Garden State Opera.  She has toured Italy with La Musica Lirica, singing Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Annina in La Traviata.  Ms. Korth appeared in concert with excerpts from Rusalka, Gianni Schicchi, and Suor Angelica in her home state of Michigan and joined the Wintergreen Festival Orchestra (VA) for their July 2010 evening of “Viennese Pops.”  Future plans include a spring 2013 recital in New York City to include works by Liszt, Rachmaninoff and Poulenc as well as the world premiere of a new cycle by American composer Tanya Crist.
